Join Donna Mcloughlin for a weekend Yoga retreat at the gorgeous Lower Rudlow Farm, set in an idyllic English countryside location, overlooking Box Valley with the By Brook river running through it – but only 8 miles from Bath city centre. We will stay in beautifully restored cabin style rooms, used to be the original dairy on the farm. We have a spacious, separate yoga room set away from the main house and bedrooms, as well as a gorgeous dining room set off the farm house, next to the kitchen where all our delicious food is prepared.

I will be joining as a therapist on this retreat and I am looking forward to all the beautiful connections.

Retreat into the Wild

Join Alice and Linnea for a day retreat at Cherry Wood near Bath, an idyllic, peaceful woodland setting away from the busy world.

The day will be filled with two yoga classes, meditation, nourishing food, woodland walks and a dip in the lake for the adventurous. Gift yourself the time to clear your mind, refocus your energy and reconnect with nature..

The Venue

Cherry Wood is a unique sustainable woodland management project site near Bath. There is no mains power or wifi hotspot making it a real treat to come here and completely detox and let go of daily life.

Much of the work, both construction and woodland management, has been done by hand by volunteers using permaculture principles with 95% of materials coming from the wood itself. There are miles of surrounding woodland to explore and a beautiful lake suitable for wild swimming.  

The Food

We will have our own wonderful chef onsite cooking fresh local food prepared in the outdoor kitchen and cooked on wood fires. All meals will be vegetarian.

The Facilitators

Alice will guide you through a dynamic morning yoga practice, exploring a unique sequence of postures connected to the breath. We will come back together in the afternoon for a slow restorative practice to nourish the body at the end of the day.

Linnea shines a light on your connection to mother earth and the life force within you through guided reiki meditation, she will hold a safe space for you to completley let go and become the beautiful spirit that you are.

About Alice

Alice trained in Goa, India where she competed her 200hrs teacher training with Trimurti Yoga. She specialises in vinyasa flow yoga and teaches group and private classes in and around Frome.

Alice leads a warm and nurturing practice that allows students to explore the subtleties of movement in the physical body, connect with the depth of the breath and release tension in body and mind.

About Linnea

Born and raised in the forests of Sweden. A mother of two now living with her family in Frome, UK. Linnea trained as a massage therapist in her home town of Gothenburg over 12 years ago and has since then also trained as a reiki practitioner.

Linnea rests in her heart and offers her treatments and meditation classes from this space, both are led intuitively by her connection to spirit and to mother earth.

Ammerdown is a purpose built retreat centre within a 30 minute drive of Bath. It offers a beautiful and peaceful meeting place conducive to refreshment of mind, body and spirit. Situated within beautiful and tranquil surroundings, the centre offers excellent en-suite facilities and superb home-cooked food, as well as large function rooms in which we can practice yoga.

The retreat will be led by two experienced teachers and will include eight led sessions covering asana, pranayama, philosophy, chanting and restorative/relaxation practices. There will also be time for walking, relaxing, quiet contemplation.
